Jones Beach Holiday lights - better to buy a ticket before?
I have never been, is it better to buy a ticket online or buy when you get there?

You just pay at the booth or give them the print out at the same booth. No sure if online is cheaper.

That's what I was asking and should have been clearer. I meant from a traffic/waiting standpoint. Thank you.

It's the same. No faster if you buy it online. I bought mine online but I would prob just purchase when you get there.

There was a really good groupon but it sold out quickly. I'm wondering too if there is another cheaper way to get tickets. $25 to drive through and look at lights is kinda high to me.

The Groupon was only good for certain days. Of course I purchased one for my sister and her family and one for ours, only to have to purchase another ticket on the day we went. Obviously a day not included in the groupon ticket.

We went tonight. To be honest it was just OK. My DD loved but we waited an hour to get thru the booth and that wait was NOT worth it IMO and then exiting was extremely confusing. Wouldn't go back.

You have to go during the week. We went on Wednesday and got right in.
It's not the most spectacular thing ever- but I think it's better than the girl scout one and worth it on a weeknight with a groupon
