Jones Beach Light Show
Does anyone know if they are having it this year? I went by there last week and there was nothing set up yet. Want to take Emma along this year.

Re: Jones Beach Light Show
I'm not sure, but I wanted to add that there is one at the Holtsville Ecology Center sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven. We have went in past years and it's cute. I've never been to Jones Beach so I don't know how it compares, but I do know there was no traffic and I hear the traffic at JB is horrendous.
There is also another one in Bayport sponsored by the Girl Scouts that looks like it might be nice https://www.gssc.us/events/winterwonderland.asp

Re: Jones Beach Light Show
I have ben to both the holtsville one and Jones beach - - - JB is much longer and better....but for th eprice and the fact that there is no traffic to get in, Holtsville is OK.
They have the JB one every year - I cant imagine them not having it. Im sure they will start talking about it onthe radio stations the day after Thanksgiving.

HOLTSVILLE, NY – Brookhaven Highway Superintendent John H. Rouse and the Brookhaven Wildlife Center today announced the Holiday schedule for Brookhaven Brite Nites, a drive through holiday light park at the Town of Brookhaven Holtsville Ecology Site. Residents are invited to tour the Ecology Site’s enchanting 1.2 mile trail ablaze with tens of thousands of lights and light displays and begin a new family tradition!
Brookhaven Brite Nites is presented nightly from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm, November 23 to December 31, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, at the Brookhaven Town Ecology Site located at 249 Buckley Road in Holtsville.
All proceeds from the $12 per car admission go to the feeding and veterinary care of the many non-releasable handicapped wild and domestic animals at the site as well as to support the greenhouses at the facility which serve as the foundation of the Highway Department’s many road beautification programs.
For more information and directions please call (631) 758-9664. We hope to see you there!

Im very disappointed. I always looked forward to that. I know last year it was moved to the theatre parking lot and it wasnt as good as the original way..maybe thats why.

Re: Jones Beach Light Show
I'm surprised. I just saw something about it in the Bellmore paper this week and discussed with DH whether he thought it would be worth it or not
