juice question..
do you dilute it? and how do i know when dd is thirsty..dumb questions..i know but the dr told me i could give dd juice but she is the type..that if it isnt feeding time..she just throws the bottle..and isnt using a sippy cup yet..just as a teether ...TIA!

i buy the gerber juices and never diluted them.
if she is almost done with it but still thirsty i will add some water to it.
With the hot weather I try giving her some liquid every hour or so, and if she doesn't want it...she throws it. So I just put it in the fridge and try again later.

I dilute the juice by half and sometimes a little more water than juice. I do this with the Gerber juices and the Apple & Eve apple juice. I give him the juice so it adds flavor to the water because I notice he will not drink as much water but he seems thirsty. He only drinks it from a sippy cup so I leave it on the floor for him and he will go to it when he wants it. I also notice that he doesn't really like it cold from the fridge so maybe try it room temp for your DC or he/she just may not be thirsty.

My ped told me no more than 4oz a day, and to do 2 oz juice, 2 oz water. He hardly even has it.

I dilute a lot as well... when I give him juice it's about 75% water, 25% juice... I have everyone dilute for Michael as well, but not sure how much they do. I prefer him to get more water instead, but he will not drink regular water!

I noticed if they stop eating at meal times & you give them a drink, they'll eat more. I also try to give them drinks throughout the day - particularly if I notice they seem constipated.
I give water more than anything else.
