Jules...feeling sorry for yourself - can i join you?
after three cycles of Clomid, one with HCG and 17 months of trying....I am feeling quite discouraged these days. I am not responding well with small and a few follies and have to take a month off. Then try one last time with Clomid, HCG, maybe Estrogen added to the mix. Then....referral for IVF - which I am not happy about. IVF is not only expensive, but I do not want multiples ---no offense to those who have them. It is a blessing but I am in the health field ...I see what a high risk it is all around for mom and babies. I see the reality of NICU stays and all of it's stresses. Besides the strain on a marriage. Well, lets hope I have a lucky month. Im just upset b/c I have to wait. The I may have to wait even longer to save for IVF as insurance only pays half of 2 cycles. Mostly I'm just tired and scared that it might not happen for us. I am so sick of the disappointment every month and the constant questions from well-meaning outsiders. Thanks for listening. Ill keep you posted.

Like I said on Jules' post, we've all been there and I can totally relate to you...
I did two cycles on Clomid and had no response, just a lot of small follies so they didn't even trigger.
This past cycle we decided to try injectibles, which worked...but too well, I had 9 follies and my cycle was cancelled.
Have you discussed injectibles with your RE? I would try that at least one cycle before moving on to IVF. We are waiting until January for our IVF cycle but in the meantime we're going to play with the dose of injectibles and see if we can get a better result.
