Well, I don't want to jinx myself, but DD has been really good (fingers crossed). But she does wake up to eat. Your little one is keeping you up still? Maybe it's a growth spurt?

Re: June 2007 mommies....
nope, I would say ds is sleeping worse now than a couple of weeks ago... I dont know, he might be going through a growth spurt cause all of a sudden he is hungry all the time...but in all fairness he used to go to bed at 11pm now he is asleep by 8pm and wakes up in the middle of the night for a feeding... so he is probably sleeping the same, he just falls asleep earlier...

Re: June 2007 mommies....
my DS is pretty good sleeping through the night, but he is still swaddled, i think if he wasnt, it would be different. Although the past couple nights, he has been moving alot, not really waking up but restless from like 4:00Am till he gets up around 6:30-7:00

DD is still swaddled too. She refuses to sleep w/o being swaddled, although she does break out of it by morning.

Re: June 2007 mommies....
Bella goes down anywhere from 9-10 and wakes about 2x a night for a feed. She goes right back down though. Her gas issues seem to wake her during the night. She gets uncomfortable and squirmy and with that she hits the side of the co-sleeper with her arms and that gets her fussy.

Yeah- she's BFed. She does go right back to sleep after eating too. I don't know WHERE I got the idea that I'd have my 8 hours of solid sleep back by 3 months old- she's almost 4 months and still waking up anywhere from 1 to 2x a night....

Re: June 2007 mommies....
Sincew 2 weeks old she has been sleeping 10 or 11 pm - 8 or 9am.
I put a small drop of essential lavender oil on her crib sheet those nights she seems fussy. It's calming and well she sleeps great. I use it for myself too.

well I do know that BF babies are harder to get through the night.
Have you read all the books?
I am a big sleeper and I could not survive without a full nights sleep so I vowed that I would have him sleeping through the night. And he does and has since 5-6 weeks old.....
I dont know WHY he does though?
I Know he is still swaddled and really needs it. He would NOT sleep through the night without it.
He also sleeps in his swing. He likes the motion, he doesnt do as well in his crib yet.
I have a feeling he wont be as great a sleeper once he is unswaddled in his crib....
I also noticed he needs a semi routine of consistent naps during the day to get a consistent sleep.
He does sometimes "fuss" at night , but normally his eyes are still closed, and he doesnt fully wake up. I turn on the swing and give him his pacifier and he goes back down.
Is she full on WAKING up and crying to get up?
Do you use a pacifier? Could you try to not feed her and see what happens?
Its soo hard to give advice, cause each baby is so diffferent.

Re: June 2007 mommies....
ds still sleeps in his miracle blanket but is able to break out of it most nights... I think his gums are bothering him cause once he is free of the blanket he shoves his little fists in his mouth right away...

ahhh- you're a cheater!!!(using the swing and MB) j/k
She's not full-on crying, no. She will start fussing and I usually go in to make sure she hasn't *wandered*. If she opends her eyes and sees me- she wants to eat. Last night I let her fuss it out for 5 minutes and she did go back to sleep. I feel guilty doing that though....
She's not swaddled anymore and in her own crib at least. Breaking the MB habit was no where NEAR as difficult as I thought it would be. We started by using a Sleep Sack. Now she's in footie pj's.

Re: June 2007 mommies....
DONT feel guilty letting her fuss.
Thats the key to breaking it right there.
All babies tend to fuss as they go in and out of REM sleep.
If she stops after 10 minutes and is not crying of course, just fussing, she really doesnt need to get up.
It will get easier!

Re: June 2007 mommies....
I am not technically a June mom, since DS was born on 5/30 but anywhoo.
DS is getting worse instead of better. I think its because he needs to go on cereal so that he does not get hungry in the middle of the night. We asked our ped last visit and he said wait, we have our 4 month appoimtment comig up and hopefuly he will okay the cereal.

Re: June 2007 mommies....
THANK YOU for this thread!! i feel much better reading what a lot of you have written! DD is still getting up at night sometimes 2x or 3x she is actually worse too than she was say at 2months when she WAS sleeping thru! what is going on? can't tell if it's teething, binky falling out, gas, hunger,or loneliness!!! so glad i'm not alone! DD also still uses the miracle blanket but is in her crib. scared to let go of the MB but dont see how her sleeping can get any worse than it is! i HATE being sleep deprived
