just a vent
The first trimester really is rough--that's an understatement. I'm so tired of feeling nauseous, bloated and sore. Today was the 5th straight day where i've vomited, and while I know I'm not alone in this boat--nor do I have it the worst-- I just want to feel better. I love being pregnant, and DH and I tried so hard to get here-- Im just looking forward to the day when I can actually enjoy being pregnant. I'm having my first sono tomorrow, and I've been looking forward to it for the last 2 weeks with the hopes that seeing my baby's heartbeat will make this feel real. Thanks for reading if you got this far--I just needed to vent.

Ah, I can't understand b/c I have not thrown up YET...been very close though but I can only imagine.....I hear that by week 12 or 13 it all goes away and you feel great!!! Iknow that sounds really far right now but just think it is probably just as far away as long as you have been prego...are you about 6 weeks? Hang in there sweetie!!! xoxo

Re: just a vent
I know how you feel.... I had a miserable 1st trimester. I couldn't enjoy being pregnant whatsoever untill about week 15... However long it takes (hopefully short) just know that it will pass

Re: just a vent
Aw hon, I know just how you feel. My first trimester was awful. I was nauseous, I was tired, I was bloated, it felt awful. I would cry at night because I knew when I woke up I was going to get so sick. The good news is that by week 16, it was like a switch flipped and I felt amazing! Now at 20 weeks, those days are a distant memory. I still get nauseous/vomit every now and then, but the difference is like night and day. Just trust that you will make it through this and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that you enjoy your first sono! How exciting! That little picture they give you will make this all worth it!

Re: just a vent
Thank you ladies for the reassuring words. I know that this will pass in a few weeks-- I just have to hold out and stay strong. Right now I'm about 7 weeks along (going for sono tomorrow so I'll know for sure then). This site is great because of all the support that there is from women who are able to empathize b/c they've been there. I'm the first of my friends to be pregnant, and the only one in my family pregnant right now so I def. need to be able to "talk" to someone going through what I'm feeling...anyway, thanks!

Re: just a vent
Hang in there! It won't last forever
I keep a plastic bag in my purse in case I get sick on the LIRR while commuting to work in the city. This morning I got sick in the bathroom in the LIRR waiting area I keep counting down the days to the second trimester...
