just feeling blah..weight post baby related..UPDATE
I know this is going to sound shallow and im sorry bc i know there are women who havnt lost all their pregnacy weight but, i did and i still feel like i look like garbage lately. I weigh what i weighed at my first appt at 6 weeks pregnat.Prior to that like right before we ttc and got pregnant i was about 5 lbs lighter and thats where i want to be. Even if i loose that extra 5 lbs i still feel like my body is soo different. Not that i ever had a great body but i just feel like even though the clothes fit they dont look too good. I had csection this time and I feel like my pouch will never go away.. Granted i havent excerised once and plan to walk daily this summer.
i may go out with friends saturday for a few drinks and i was obsessing over what i can wear and to me nothing looks right. I dont know i just needed to vent and ifyou have advice please share.
UPDATE: i just saw one of my coworers fot the first time and she said wow you look great. I wanted to KISS HER!! Funny right after i posted this. Its made me feel a little better and also reading your posts. i know i just have to accept this is my new body. Thanks girls!

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related
I still have weight to lose so I'm not in the same boat - but I def. feel UGH about my body and was dreading DS's baptism and anytime I need to look decent. I go with a cute babydoll top to cover the stomach bulge or a flattering wrap dress with leggings or something along those lines. If all else fails and the clothes aren't coming together - keep it simple and spend extra time on your hair or make-up or wear awesome accessories to make you feel good. And try to remember, people know you've just had a baby - I'm sure you look better than you think you do!

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related
I feel your pain....Most of my life I have been skinny....my 1st 6wks appt with the dr I was at my highest weight I have ever been. I gained 55 pounds when I was prego and I have only lost 47 pounds so far and my DD is 5 months. I hate looking at myself I feel like I look so sloppy and ...
I would love to start looking into taking some classes or something because I am not happy with the way I look.

I'm right there with you. I still have over 20lbs to lose and i'm white as a ghost. I'm misserable about it...it's my fault though...I eat like a slob. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding in Oct and I need to get my azz into shape. I was also in one last June and the dress I just ordered is DOUBLE the size of last years

I agree -we judge ourselves so much harsher! I am not 100% happy with my body shape right now, but I take extra time on my hair, make up and accessories when I go out so I feel put together.

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related
I have not lost all the weight either, but I know everyone's bodies work differently. I remember reading that if you didn't lose all the weight by six months, you most likely weren't going to...my body (with my two pg) holds onto the weight until 10 months, the first time I lost all the weight and now the same thing seems to be happening this time (does that make sense??) My #2 ds just turned 10 months and NOW its coming off! My friend lost all her weight before she left the hospital BOTH times. She walked out of the hospital in her regular jeans ( just kidding ) and she still doesn't feel like herself. I can completely understand that

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related..UPDATE
I am JUST starting to feel better about by body...DD is now almost 6 months and I can now look in the mirror and not feel as big...I have lost all the preg. weight plus a few pounds but everything is not where it used to be! my body looks sooooo different then before...i still have a little stomach pouch but its getting better...i think my butt and thighs are still big...i tend to carry weight there and its also the hardest place for me to get it off...it sucks...but im hoping in a few more months i will feel even better about myself (now if only these stupid stretch marks would go away i think i would feel a lot better!!!)

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related..UPDATE
Sorry you are feeling this way but you are not alone!!
I am 11 weeks PP and have been working out hard for about 4 weeks and trying to watch what I eat (I eat pretty healthfully anyway) but yet the last 10 lbs of the weight is not budging.
I have a closet full of summer clothes I bought last year that I cannot wear--such a bummer. I too feel like even when I lose this weight, my body will still be way different, like my hips spread or something.

That's all it takes sometimes! A few weeks ago I was in the supermarket and the guy stocking the meat told me I have "bright eyes" - not sure what that means but a compliment from a stranger goes a long way (esp when you get to go home and tell DH someone was hitting on you )

Re: just feeling blah..weight post baby related..UPDATE
I know exactly how you are feeling. I have lost all the weight too but I am just sooooo mushy. Everyone tells me I look great but I don't feel good about myself. Once I found a way to fit exercise in, I hope it gets better. The other thing that really bothers me is my boobs. I am BFing and they are just not the same. I figure it will only get worse once I stop BRing I never really obsessed over my body so it feels really bad to feel so down about it.
