Re: just finished the hunger games trilogy...question
It's been a long time since I read this, but I don't remember getting that impression at all.
What made you think that?

Re: just finished the hunger games trilogy...question
I didn't take it that way. I took it as that she is so damaged from all that she went thru that she can't help but just think the worst all the time. I think that she has the normal fears and anxieties that any mother would have for their child and then they are just amplified by her life experiences. I don't think that there is any real danger left for her children though.

That's how I took it. That she didn't want to have children at first because she feared for them but that it was what Peeta wanted.
I just can't remember what the epilogue said exactly.

I see what you mean. I do remember that line now that you mention it.

This is exactly how I took it. After what she's been through, there is no "normal" anymore, nor any safety

I took this as she was saying something like her head was playing games on her, constantly worrying, but there worse games she could play, meaning the hunger games. I don't think there will be another book, it was all wrapped up pretty well.
