Just got back from Andrew's 8 month visit...
He is 16 lbs 2oz and 26 inches long. Finally he is starting to gain some weight.
He is Anemic but they put him on special vitamins for it. It's borderline.
The ped also told me we could start pastina, eggs, and mashed potatoes!!! I am so excited about that!!
It was a very good visit overall for once!!
Oh and I rejected the Flu shot. I thought the ped was going to have a heart attack. But I stayed strong:) I am so proud of myself for not giving in.

good for you on the flu shot. Ellie and I got sick from hers so I declined the booster and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Great news!
I also rejected the flu shot at my son's 9th month check up. The doctor was not pleased, but he respected my choice.

my doc advised against the flu shot for hannah. even with her being in daycare! every doc is so different. glas to hear how great andrew is doing.

That was Matty's weight at his 7 month checkup. He goes back on the 3rd of Feb.
Congrats! So I guess I'll be starting pastina and eggs soon too...DS only has 2 bottom teeth though. How many does andrew have?
I'll ask the doctor.

Sounds like he's doing great! I haven't taken Lauren for her 8 month visit and she's almost 9 months already  But I have started her on pastina (hate the stars all over the place!), egg yolks, and cut up American cheese, as well as baby yogurt.
Oh, and I don't do flu shots for my kids either.

We goes for ours tomorrow. Im looking forward to adding some more variety. I couldnt remember when pastina or eggs get added.
They told you egg yolks only, right? Just double checking... Andrew sounds like he's doing great. Is the anemia something to be overly concerned about?
