Just got my BFP! nervous and excited
Hi ladies. I decided to join the boards after getting my first BPF. I took 4 tests to confirm however i took them before my period is due.
Is it normal to get bfp before your period???? could these be false positives. I called my doctor but she doesn't see patients until you have missed 2 periods. I always thought they checked with bloodwork.
I'm excited but worried that it might not work out.

I tested 3 days before my period was due...36 wks later...getting anxious.

Congratulations!!!
I tested 5 days before my period and got my BFP so definitely not too early. And I think the tests are supposed to be 99% accurate so very little chance of false positives.
My first doctors appt was at 5 1/2 weeks but I know some doctors won't see you until at least 6 weeks.

Thanks so much for answering and helping to put my mind at ease. I never thought i would be this neurotic.
I just thought waiting till 8 weeks was long for a dr. appt. The receptionist was pretty adamant about waiting.

CONGRATS!!! sooo exciting and welcome. My doctor also made me wait until 2 missed period before I came in. I was disappointed at first too. But we just went for the first appointment at 8 weeks and it was incredible to actually see something and hear the heartbeat, if you go to the Dr. now, im sure you wouldnt see anything. Just keep up a healthy lifestyle and enjoy all the excitement for now! GOOD LUCK!

Congrats!!!  
I tested very early too like 5 days and got 4 BFP's!! I couldn't stop testing--lol
They gave me a blood test when I went to my Doctor because I was so early they wanted to check my HCG levels, everything came back positive!

I got my BFP 2 days before I missed my period. My dr. wouldn't see me either until I was 8 weeks. However, I went in at 7 weeks b/c I had some spotting, which turned out to be normal! Welcome!!

Congrats!! I took a HPT the day before AF was due and got a positive. My doctor wouldn't see me until I was 6 weeks so I had to wait 2 weeks before they would see me.

Congratulations! I went to the doctor last week for my first appointment. I was in my seventh week then. Enjoy this exciting time. Once again Congratulations!

I too got my BFP before AF...my 1st BFP was 5 days before on 1 test brand, but BFN on 2 other brands! Then 3 days before AF I got BFP on all 3 brands!!
My Dr. wouldn't see me until 6 1/2 weeks and didn't even do blood work on that visit, just a sono!!
