Just got my letter....
to be excessed This really sucks because I havent been seeing any jobs for my area posted yet, so I'm getting worried. This really bothers me, I feel like since this is my 5th year teaching I should have been tenured by now.

I am so sorry! I cannot only imagine. Just FYI having tenure does not mean you cannot be excessed either. You absolutely can! Tenure just protects you from random firings without due process so to speak. Excessing and firings are not the same and not protected. Our old dean was excessed from Commack after 20 yrs because he was low man in seniority
Good luck I truly hopes something comes up!
