Just made my 1st quinoa....what's your favorite recipe?
I finally made some, but kept it simple....now I'm lookimg for some good recipes some of you like.

I just add a handful to turkey chili.
Once I cooked some with some chix stock and served with a chix dish that had a little sauce, it got lost - wouldnd't recomend it that way...unless you want it to get lost. I usually use couscous for that dish.

I like quinoa pilaf... quinoa cooked with chicken stock instead of water, and then you add sliced nuts (I prefer almonds) and you can also add some vegetables like carrots or green/red bell peppers, and some fresh or dried herbs like parsley. So tasty!

Love Quinoa pilaf.. I do mine a little differently but same concept!
I also use quinoa when making tabouleh instead of bulgar wheat sometimes. And if you use chicken broth and dress with a little lemon and mint it's a nice side for Greek food.

I like a pilaf, but I always toast the quinoa before cooking it. gives it a nice flavor

Ok.....I made these tonight. I thought they were really good! I went off this recipe, but I made some adjustments:
Quinoa Pizza Bites Makes ~40 bites 2 cups cooked quinoa 2 large eggs (I use egg whites) 1 cup chopped onion (onion powder works too) 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (I use low fat) 2 tsp minced garlic (garlic powder works too) 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped 1 cup chopped pepperoni slices (~1/2 of a 7 oz bag) (I omitted) 1/2 tsp seasoning salt 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp dried crushed oregano pizza sauce for dipping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together all ingredients, except pizza sauce, in a medium mixing bowl.
Distribute mixture into a greased mini muffin tin, filling each cup to the top (1 heaping Tbs each), and press down gently to compact.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Nutritional Information for 5 bites per My Fitness Pal: Calories - 175, Fat - 10g, Protein - 9g, Fiber - 2g, Calcium - 10mg, Carbs - 12g

By work they make it quinoa, chick peas, mint, finely dices red and yellow peppers Prob. Just little oil, s and p to taste garlic too
