Just made my Mom's B'day cake and it would be a cute theme for a girl of any age! PIC
My mom used to make Raggedy Ann dolls for high end craft shows so I thought it would be cute to make her a Raggedy Ann cake. Not too tricky for the home baker and would make a very cute birthday party theme with fun colors. Found the inspiration cake online. Here's mine... Image Attachment(s):

To add...
I did a box cake with tub white frosting. The face is tinted with the neon food color drops, recipe on back for "apricot" (green and pink sounds odd but totally makes a great color). and the dress, I just added blue to the rest of the apricot until I liked it.
The hair is Twizzler pull apart licorice. White frosting for eyes and apron straps. Cherry fruit leather for nose and mouth. The eyes and mouth were done with soft chew black licorice chews (from CVS) that I microwaved for 12 seconds then rolled out with my pampered chef pastry roller. Used a sugar sprinkle cap to cut the circles and cut the other pieces freehand.
ETA: Add this on top of a sheet cake for extra cake!
