Kinda silly question for moms of toddler age (and cute pic)

At what age do kids usually start drawing pictures of people? I am not sure if I am just being a proud mommy but I thought this was pretty good considering she just turned 3. Anyway, just thought I'd share

I teach first and that is good for kids coming from Kindergarten...Nice pic! Frame that one as the "first"

What an awesome pic!!!! Time to start an art portfolio for sure!!!

I forget specifically when kids start drawing people. But one thing I remember is that they all start essentially the same way. Round head with eyes and ears no body then they add hands attached to the head...or something like that..but it's really cute to see the progression.

I have it in a book somewhere. Now if I only knew where that book was...

I think that's VERY good.

I took a class in college that analyzed children's drawings. I remembered that because in the pic, you see the hand is just a circle...they later graduate to adding lines for fingers and then actually drawing the fingers without the large circle as they get older.

Noah is 3.5 and he has been drawing very similar pictures for he turned aroud 3, yesterday he drew a picture of an ant that he saw on TV and it was amazing, six legs and everything. Love it!

Kaitee started drawing faces at 2 1/2. She will be 3 in 3 weeks. She still doesn't draw the body though. The other day she drew a heart! It wasn't perfect but she did it. Here are a few of her masterpieces(she names them and asks me to take pictures)

I think that is REALLY good!

josh is 2.5, he will do eyes, ears, hair...that's it.

GREAT PIC! And advanced for her age. When Ava drew something like that a couple of months ago, my BFF was floored (she's an art teacher) and said most pre-K kids don't even know how to draw like that. And Ava's pic looked just like your dd's So for her!
