Just overheard the saddest conversation with my boys and their friends
So my 6 year old son and my almost 10 year old son have some friends over right now for a playdate.
I'm sitting downstairs on the computer and overhear this conversation:
Friend #1 (10 years old): Did you guys know Osama Bin Laden killed so many Americans in the Twin Towers?
Friend #2 (6 years old): Why did he do that?
Nick (my son- 10 years old): Because he was a jealous person and he was evil.
Joey (my son- 6 years old): My dad was in the Twin Towers. But planes hit them and they fell down. Lots of people died, but my dad was brave, and he got out.
Friend #2: Wow, Joey. He was so lucky. That's so sad.

Nick: My dad said he needed to get out, because I was in my mom's belly and he wanted to meet me.
Friend #1: What a sad story. I'm so glad America got their revenge on Osama. And guys (Nick and Joey), I'm so glad Russ (their dad, my DH) is ok.
Me...I'm sitting here crying.
Such a touching moment I just overheard.

I can't imagine what it must've been like to be so young like these kids were when it happened.
