Just saying hello....
and that my husband and I finally sat down and discussed our future and plans for starting a family.
Due to business obligations, we won't start trying until the end of this year...but I thought I'd get a head-start on the boards.....
Is there a dummy's guide to all the lingo or something?
I am being super honest here, but I know nothing...and am not in tune with my body...

If you want to start getting in touch with your body, the easiest thing to to is start writing down when you get AF on a calendar. GL and hopefully when you join this board your stay will be short.

You count Day 1 as the first day of heavy flow.

You could count your first day when it's heavy enough to use pads/tampons.

there are also alot of books that you can read up on, and also website if you aren't into reading.
there is a place at the top of the screen that says lingo. Click on it, and it'll tell you lots of the abreviations.
GOod Luck, and I pray that once you start TTC you're stay on this particular board will be short.

Welcome Aboard! Complete newbie to this site, but not to LIW.
Just keeping some privacy for now...
DH and I have been trying for only 4 mos, when I decided to check in here and see if I could get some tips and drive myself crazy! 
I always thought I was like a clock, but came to find out, my cycle days varied more than I thought. I've actually been tracking it since July, but we really got serious in November.
I started using mymonthlycycles.com to track, and then just started doing it on my own. You'd be surprised how differently your body behaves every day/week when you're really paying attention!
