Just started injectable cycle
I just started my 1st full injectable cyle (Follitism) last Friday night.....
Was just wondering if most of you went on progestorone right after they had their IUI? I am just not sure what the next step is after my injectable/ cycle ends....sorry if this is a dumb question

Oh ok, is it in a shot, in a pill or suppository? I see on the boards alot of women have comfort issues with the suppositories, was just wondering what everyone did....

Re: Just started injectable cycle
I was never on progesterone after the IUI and I am now 10 weeks pregnant with triplets. I was producing a lot on my own. Sorry I can't be of more help

Re: Just started injectable cycle
you only need to go on progesterone supplements if you have low progesterone numbers (at least that's what my RE has said) I've been on them one or two cycles and i didn't start taking them until after the IUI. You continue until you get AF or your BFP (at which point you'd continue taking them)
If this cycle fails, your RE will either recommend the same protocol for next month, or change it up depending on how you responded to the follistim

I used Endometrin and Crinone Endometrin is a large white tablet looking suppository, Crinone is a gel Personally, i preferred the Crinone, but both of them were pretty gross!

Re: Just started injectable cycle
I just had my IUI on sunday and started using the suppositories on monday. They are not the most fun, but are really not all that bad either. And yes, you only take them if you have low progesterone. I never have, but last cycle I went at 7DPO and it was low (I think it's b/c I wasn't pregnant) so now I will have to be on the supplements just in case. The good news is, having too much progesterone is not a bad thing!

Re: Just started injectable cycle
Never been given progesterone, had 5 IUI's. I did start taking Estadriol this month to help my lining.

Re: Just started injectable cycle
i ALWAYS did progesterone about 4 days after trigger.
the way I see it (based on the way RE sees it), progesterone never HURTS. it can only help. so why wait for there to be a problem? its common to have low post-O progesterone after injectables so why wait for there to be a problem?
