just wanted to post fyi...
so my son has a double ear infection and went thru Augmentin which didn't work so the ped put him on Omnicef. Today he had bloody stools (or so it appeared) and i freaked thinking he had roto virus or something. turns out bloody diarhea is a side effect of omnicef. don't you think i shouldve been warned?

We went through that al well. First of all AUgmentin made Sara soo sick. We switched to omnicef but thankfully a friend warned me of teh side effects first.

You should have been warned.
Always get the literature from the pharmacy for each medication about the side effects, use, contraindications etc.
Hope Spencer feels better soon.

Same thing happened to my DD with omnicef, but it turned out to be fine.

oh no. heck ya i would have freaked just like you. my son right now has a double ear infection, omnicef never worked for him, the only thing that ever works on him is augmentin. augementin is a heavy duty drug according to my ped. hope your lil guy gets better asap.

I am pretty sure my ped wardned me he would have red stools, but I dont remember that they were bloody
