Just when I had lost all hope
I had just about given up on my fellow New Yorkers and their lack of compassion for the pregnant commuter.
Then yesterday happened.
I was walking into Penn Station, on my way to a Dr. appointment and I hear this:
"Mami, Mami - you're shoe lace is untied."
I look down and so it was.
She must have seen the look of desperation on this 6 month preggo face and uttered these sweet words,
"Want me to tie it for you?"
Me - "no, no, that's ok"
My angel, "You sure?? I'll do it for you"
Me - "No, thank you so much"
My angel, "No problem Mami", while she stood next to me and made sure no one knocked me over.

That's sweet. I finally switched to laceless sneakers when I realized I would be in big trouble if my laces becam untied while I was alone.
