Just wondering, is anyone else going to Stony Brook for prenatal care and who is your doctor?

My Doctor is Dr. Jennifer Johnson, I really like her.

So far my experience has been positive.

i delivered DD there and I have to say everyone and everything there was beyond amazing for me. When the time comes for dc #2 I want to go back there as well. I had Dr Welischar who delivered dd, but there are 2others in the practice as well. hth

eta..my drs were in east setuaket though, not directly in the hospital area

I had my baby at Stony Brook Hospital. It's not what you want to think about but if your baby needs to be admitted to NICU, Stony Brook is the place to be. Other area hospitals have NICU babies transferred to Stony Brook if they can't meet their needs (there are criteria). I was glad I had my baby at a place that was equipped for any sort of problem. He did land in the NICU, unfortunately, but he is doing great now.

I see a doctor at University Associates, they are the attendings at Stonybrook. I took the birth classes when I had my dd and I delivered there as well.
