I think composition, color, lighting and texture is natural and beautiful. However the under the eye could of been softened since I never seen her with a deep puff or crease there in any video (not photos.) photos lie too much with skin softening and tricks of the trade.

It's a sad day when the best portrait is of Camilla -- on WHAT planet and what was the artist drinking to SOMEHOW make Camilla's portrait come out the most flattering vs. Diana and Kate?!!! CRAZY! I don't like any of them - why make them look so bad?!

I think it misses her sparkle. She needed to be showing teeth in the portrait as it lightens up her face when she smiles. I've never seen a photo of her sile like this portrait with a clenched mouth --intereting how the queen and camilla don't show teeth either but diana's does.....

I really think it's a terrible portrait of her. I would cry if it were me. Poor Kate, I hope she likes it for her sake. Do you think she had a glimpse of this before everyone else?
ITA. This is a horrible horrible portrait of her. Does her no justice. I just hope she isn't as horrified as we are!

I agree I actually love the composition, color etc what hit me as unflattering is her under eyes. Other than that I think it's pretty. I do see her smirk at times in pics/tv & maybe she did it too many times with this painter. I also would have much rather seen a full body shot like the others. Diana's is really nice. I miss her.

The picture has a very Rembrandt quality to it. I don't mind the eyes, it has that crinkly, smiling eye look. However, I think the lower half of her face, especially around her mouth, is very rough looking: sorta like bad skin or pock-marky. She has a trademark smile, but I guess they were going for that "British reserved look."

She is a stunning woman and this does not do her any justice at all! The bags under her eyes and the wrinkles make this seem like a future picture of her in like 15 years. Oh we'll if she likes it

It's like they tried to recreate the Mona Lisa and failed. I definitely think she should have a softer smile. And she definitely looks a LOT older here!

I always thought Kate & Pippa had more mature looking faces -- looking older than they are -- BUT the painting makes her look way older.
