Keeping your legs up in the air!
Does this really help with ttc?
Or is it false?
thanks...cause I always do this after ttc for at least 10 minutes and I don't go to the bathrrom for a while...LOL

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
Who knows? But I did read that you should keep laying down for 20 - 30 minutes and refrain from peeing for 40 minutes or so.

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
The first month I tried I didn't put my legs up and I didn't get pg. The second month I tried I did put my legs up and I did get pg. However, that month I also used OPK's and temped. I was a bit obcessed!

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
I bet that keeping your legs up can't hurt, but probably doesn't help too much. The guys are already supposed to be deposited right at the cervix and think of how many people got pg and weren't even trying!
As a previous poster said, I also have to pee ASAP afterwards, otherwise I will get a UTI.

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
My Dr. told me to keep my legs in the air too! He said it was good to do for 10 minutes after. We just started trying and we will see how it worked in 2 weeks

That's exactly what I did (except the temp).
I put a pillow under my hips. The first month I did not use the OPK and would rush to the bathroom after BD.
The 2nd month, I used the pillow to elevate my hips, and stayed there for a LONG time

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
Some people have told me to put my legs up after BD so I have been doing it. The way I look at it, it can't hurt. Scientifically speaking, I don't think it makes any difference

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
I've done that and every time I do, my DH thinks I'm crazy! Plus how can peeing afterwards have and effect?? Isn't that a different "section"?

HAHA! I read somewhere that it didn't make a difference...but I do it anyway! Last time i did a hand stand and made DH hold my legs in the air! He thinks I'm nuts...but loves me anyway

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
I have said this many times. There are plenty of women who were in many compromising positions when their children were conceived - I refer more to the unplanned pregnancies. Wham bam thank you maam and 9 months later junior arrives. I think it makes no difference.

ditto
If you have fertile CM, it doesn't matter which way your legs are - they're swimming up regardless.

Re: Keeping your legs up in the air!
Well yesterday DH and I BD, I said "ok, Im just going to lay here for a bit" So DH leaves the room, and rthen 5 mins later goes in the bathroom (which is past bedroom) he walks in stops steps out and looks at me like I said "just helping the boys get to their destination" He looks at me and said "maybe you should stand on your head " Smart a$$. So DH thinks I have officialy lost my mind. Although not complaining about the lovefest that has been going on.
