So I've been hearing about Danny and want the scoop....

They say it could be a Catgory One.

What should we expect? TIA

Who is Heather? Kelly is the weather expert that I know of on here!!!! Maybe I am missing something. Sorry if there is someone else that I didn't know of.

I know what it is. I look like Heather Locklear.

Right now it looks like Danny will impact our weather much more than Bill did last weekend. Saturday looks like a crappy day. (yes, that's my meteorological word! ) Do you need to stock up on 20 gallons of water and board up your windows? No.

Danny is unorganized now and will begin to look more like a menace tomorrow. What are we looking at here on Long Island? Wind and rain. Keeping a close eye on how another system will play a role in his track.

Here is a specific quote from my friends at the National Weather Service right now:
"WHILE THE TRACK AND INTENSITY
REMAIN UNCERTAIN...POTENTIAL IMPACTS WOULD BE TORRENTIAL
RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...COASTAL FLOODING...HIGH SURF...DANGEROUS RIP
CURRENTS AND BEACH EROSION"

I plan on making a full post tomorrow night. For now, check out the latest maps from the National Hurricane Center and pay close attention to the picture of the probability of tropical storm winds.

Of course I do know you.....I just didn't think you gave weather predictions in the past!!!!!

Yes, Kelly, it is your resemblance to Heather Locklear. I love to quote the old Wayne's World movies and there was a great saying, "There is a G-d. Heather be thy name." So now I say that about our Heather and about Kelly, who is an honorary Heather.

I am flying out on Sunday afternoon and already panicking, I really hope we make it out in time - I have a very important town feast to get to. . .well, its not important but there will be zeppoles!

kelly, all i am hoping is that TS Danny doesn't do too much serious damage or my poor DH (who goes by the same name, minus the "TS") will never hear the end of it!

Wind and rain.
Totally ruins my weekend poolside plans.
UGHHHH
I sit in work all week- locked away from the outside world- while it is GORGEOUS out for days on end.
The weekend comes and BAM- it's like F U!

DS christening is that day and while it's in a restaurant I have a feeling there are going to be wimps who can't drive 5 miles in the rain!

I am couting on you Kelly!! I am totaly freaking about about DS's party OUTSIDE on Sunday!! I can never get good luck when it comes to parties and weather

So do they have any idea of when they think the brunt of the storm is going to hit?

I have to go into work at 4pm til 9pm...I'm not looking forward to driving around in the middle of a bad storm. Ugh.
