That's Jett....I thought he was only about 12 yrs old He looks like a man in these pictures.
ETA: I just checked on line and he's 15. I really didn't think he was that old.
Also ETA I forgot he had Autism and wanted to take out "and not an attractive one"...I didn't mean any disrepect

Early intervention can and does make a difference. With their resources and influence in Hollywood, I think of what they could do for him as well as the many other children with autism. There are many stars who do not deny their children's disabilities.

That's a real shame if he didn't get the services that he needed because of his parents' "religion". someone should have CPS called on them if it's true.

Whatever they might think about his treatment for what he has.....I have to mention that recently John and Kelly talked about how they wanted to try for another child because they "always wanted a boy" and I just thought that was totally wrong. I never will ever judge a family that has a special needs child, but to hide this child from public and then claim you want a boy like you never had one is JUST WRONG!

Religious belief is not a crime. I understand frustration with a situation like this, but it is no different than a Jehovah's Witness denying their child a marrow transplant if they have leukemia. A friend of mine growing up lost her cousin to leukemia, even though it was discovered in an early treatable phase, b/c their parents were JW & did not believe in the surgery. It was so sad.

It is not their "religious" belief that is the crime - but the neglect. How could it not be considered child abuse or neglect when there is a help available but it is withheld?
Exactly. I wasn't saying that their religion is a crime, but the fact that (if true) they medically neglected their son is definitely reportable to CPS. I think Liza raises a good point too, I believe there have been legal cases where they forced treatment against the parent's religious beliefs.

But ddn't she go on a crusade a few years back about toxins in the home? And how harmful certain cleaning products can be to children?

I didn't realize their son is already fifteen. I don't know if its true if he has autism but I disagree with parents not getting their children treatments for diseases/conditions because its against their religion.
