Kenneling an older cat
Yay or nay?
I'm going to Europe for ten days in May and my friends who used to check in on my cat have become completely unreliable.
I have a kennel in mind I went to look at; we used to bring our dogs there and they were fine.
My concern is the cat going from the run of my apartment to a cage setting.
Any thoughts?
TIA!
Edited to add: he's about 13 years old. People person.

Re: Kenneling an older cat
I would not Kennel a cat. I would sooner find someone to come to my home and care for my cat than kennel a cat. Seems like too big of an adjustment for a cat, especially an old cat. However, maybe in the right kennel setting (like a luxury kennel where the cat would have a small room), maybe.

Thanks for your input. I'm going to see if another local friend will watch him for me.
