Kicking the paci-habit?
DS is 15 1/2 mos old and we're finally having luck transitioning him to a sippy cup. He still needs his pacifyer to fall asleep and likes it at other random times. If your child used a pacifyer, when did you start transitioning him/her off of it?

Re: Kicking the paci-habit?
by 18 monthswe had her down to naps and bedtime. Then ds came along and she went back to it FULL FORCE. From april-augst we gradually got her back down to naps and bedtime then went COLD TURKEY. itwas a very easy transition for us thank god.Good luck

Re: Kicking the paci-habit?
We did it cold turkey. We actually started CIO when she was 15 months old (she's now almost 18 months old) and we took the pacifier away the first night. She has never looked for it again.

Re: Kicking the paci-habit?
We did it cold turkey 2 weeks before his 1st birthday. It was one night of crying and that was it.
