Kid-friendly shrimp recipe?
My neighbor's husband died this week and I invited her over for shrimp for dinner (her DH didn't like her to cook shrimp so she's been craving it for awhile). She's picked tonight to come over and I'm looking for a quick, easy shrimp recipe that my kids will also eat.
I'm thinking shrimp scampi (baked) with buttered spaghetti and garlic bread?
Or butternut squash bisque with shrimp in it plus some fresh rolls or crusty cheesey bread?
I am working today and then volunteering at my kids' school until 5pm so I need it to be a fast dinner. TIA!

Re: Kid-friendly shrimp recipe?
The scampi sounds good.
Any pasta dish would be quick - like penne vodka with shrimp (kids can eat it without).
I've also made shrimp parmesan, and you can serve pasta on the side. Again, the kids could just eat pasta/bread.
That's a nice thing to do for your neighbor!

I would do the first one, the kids can also take the shrimp out of the spaghetti if they want. I think this is so nice of you!
