*Star Wars
*Carnival Game 1 and 2
*Monopoly is excellent we just got that one.
*Any of the sport games they have out is great for kids
*Guitar Hero and Rock Band are really popular but you might need aspirin.

Mario Kart--easy enough for 3 year old, entertaining enough for a 33 year old, so I'm sure 7 & 8 year olds will enjoy. 
It works best with the steering wheel accessory though.

ITA! My neice and nephews, ages 5, 8 and 13, LOVE Mario Kart, and DH and I love playing it with them when we go over their house!

My sons are 7 and 5. They have just about every friggin' Wii game you could think of. The ones they like best are:
Mario Galaxy
Mario Cart
and Wii Fit... they really like the jogging??
