OMG!! That is just awful. And I can't not comment on the "You'll get nothing for Christmas since that what it's all about, Jesus".
I can't imagine how she would react if he told her he was gay.  I guess he'd have to go to church twice a day then.

It's obvious from the sneaky way the camera was set up this kid did this to get a rise out of his mother.
Sorry- I don't blame that mom one bit. We don't know what kind of history this family has and whether this kid tends to purposely try to make his folks crazy. I'll admit the cursing from mom was shocking, but it just seems that this kid was just trying to be a jack-***.

Why would you get something for Christmas if you were an atheist? It's not the same as "everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day"
If he is an atheist than he doesn't celebrate Christmas, right? But she shouldn't be equating it as a "perk" of being Catholic.

Hey I don't approve of the cursing. But, better than what my parents would have done. And why would he get presents to celebrate the birth of Christ when he doesn't believe? She just sounds like she is upset, my parents would be devastated if I told them that - they would probably both cry before they got mad though. . .
And the kid seems like a douche anyway.

I don't think it was a joke. and I don't see how the kid is a douche...he said OK to not getting presents. Is he a DB for being an atheist? or a DB for telling his mom?

Am I the only one that thinks this kid is brave for doing what he did? Obviously the parents are religious(well as much as they can be while still being able to curse at their children ) I think it probably took a lot of balls to do what he did. Also the camera is turned off by someone else perhaps a sibling? It was caught in the middle of the argument.
I am a proponent of allowing my choldren to develop their own thoughts and ideals rather than blindly following mine. Hopefully I encourage them to be the best person they can be, even if they don't go to a prescribed location on Sundays

Yes, I think all atheists are douches.
 OF COURSE NOT!
He is b/c he set up this camera, said something he KNEW would upset his mom and then didn't even try to really explain himself just kind of said it and is sitting there like he doesn't care. Probably just to get the maximum reaction for her so he can post it.
