Kiddie Pool water overnight?

I filled DD's kiddie pool this AM. She was in it this afternoon for the first time and loved it. Can I leave it overnight and let her play in it again tomorrow, and then drain it?...or should I drain it and start over again tomorrow?

I always drain it and start over. If you have a cover then maybe it will be fine. Mine doesn't so I am paranoid that a cat or bird peed in it or something.Chat Icon

No I don't have a cover, very good point, cat, bird, squirrel, rabbit....eww.

I'm going to go drain it. It's small so it's not a ton of water. I'll just set it up in a different spot tomorrow and water that part of the lawn when we are done.

I'm always worried of the random child not being watched that wanders to where your pool could be and then falls in. (All they need is an inch or two of water to drown) I'm paranoid though.

What about mosquitoes? That's my first thought - they lay their eggs in still water.

Re: Kiddie Pool water overnight?

Well I drained it and put it in the garage. I'll refill tomorrow. It's only about 10 gallons because it's tiny/

I am so glad I did because the storm that just came through Lindenhurst probably would have blown it away. 2 of my neighbors had their BBQ's blow off their decks, trees fell all over my street.

We kept checking the back to make sure the little tikes swing set was still there. It is.

Growing up my mom used to cover our kiddie pool with a fitted sheet. A little ghetto, but it worked Chat Icon

We cover it with a sheet and bricks or we Re-do it the next day. We get too many bugs around here.
