Kids sail free... When and which cruise lines?
Anyone or any TA's for that matter know when kids sail free programs are typically offered? I know MSC does them but I'm looking to leave from NY... Thanks!

Not a TA.... But we did the kids sail free on the NCL breakaway out of NY in December, like the week before Christmas....

Kids sail free... When and which cruise lines?
In your experience, it's just offered during fall sailings right? I'm trying to remember... Fall being through dec up until Xmas like you mentioned

I was looking into cruises before we booked our Disney cruise for the spring. it seemed like none of the spring cruises offered kids sail free. We had to pay for the kids on Disney but I also didn't see kids free offered on other cruise lines.
I do clearly remember it being offered in the fall when kids started school.

Thanks! Btw, totally jealous of your disney cruise! I've decided to test out a cheaper cruise first for my dd's first time and hope to travel on disney in another 2 yrs or so...

We have done Disney in the past and loved it but decided we could get more bang for the buck on our next cruise if we choose RCL or Norwegian. If my memory is correct the kids sail free promos have come out in October or November and march in the past.
Disney is totally different they use ksf when a port isn't selling well so its not at all predictable.
I priced out some 7 nighters this past march (all different sail dates) and for 4 in a balcony room I was getting some #s around $2500.

Norwegian Getaway was docked right next to us. I was admiring their water slides.
I was not a cruise person previously but we had such a great time on our recent Disney cruise. I can't wait to go on our next one. Looking into NCL, Royal Caribbean and Disney again. Some of the bells and whistles on Royal Caribbean don't seem to be geared towards the little ones though.

I think RCL has alot for little kids. Some of the ships have Dreamworks characters, parades and such. They have mini golf courses, kids clubs (cant hold a candle to Disney obviousl), sprinkler park, etc... My friend went on the Oasis of the seas when we did DIsney and she had nothing but great things to say.
While I am sure its not as little kid-centric as Disney of course, I think They have plenty to keep the kids busy!
I loved Disney but honestly they are getting more and more pricey. For the price of 1 cruise on the Fantasy, I can go on 2 on Freedom of the Seas or NCLs newest the Getaway.

I'm not sure... never kept track of the kids sail free too closely or anything. we're on NCLs email list, and got an email about it. DH just happened to be able to get vacation time around then, so it worked out.
FWIW we had a very good time on the Breakaway, with DS who was just 3 when we went. its a new ship. they have a mini golf course, great little splash area for the little kids, AND they even have a "mini" ropes course for the little kids, right under their regular ropes course. Its barely off the ground, but he got a kick out of wearing the harness thing and walking on the beams and stuff. they also have the drop-off kids club... but hes a mommas boy and refused to stay :-/
overall, we had a really good time. we ended up getting a balcony room for just under $2000 for the 3 of us. not too bad considering that includes food and everything

It probably doesn't help you now but we went on a cruise in May and it was kids sail free. The promotion only ran up until Memorial day and after that you had to pay for little ones.

There is a promo now with kids sail free til Dec 31 on most royal Caribbean..or after Dec 31st, it's the first passenger pays full price, the second goes half off

It's different for every cruise line at different times. I know that many offer Kids sail free during school months, and black out for summers and Feb/Easter break. However, RCCL has a program for little kids where if IRC, they sail free all the time up to the age of 5? TA's help me out here...
Book with a travel agent, they keep up on the info often!
