Kind of Embarassed to ask but I need your help/knowledge/experience
Ok, I used LIW to plan my entire wedding and vent my emotions over all sorts of important and trivial things. I resisted coming over to LIF when it was first created for so many of the ‘big reasons’ back then. Now I’m here (sorta).
So why do I feel so awkward asking this question???????
Ok Ladies, I am officially in the game! Tell me all I need to know. I wanna start trying this month. I don’t know how many days to wait after AF and I don’t have the time or money to pick up whatever the heck OPK is. There’s has got to be a better way.
So lay it on me girls! What do you know??!!?

Well, you could BD every other day, you are pretty likely to hit one of y our fertile days that way. You could also check your CM (cervical mucous). When it starts becoming watery and then an egg-white conisitency, it means your fertile days are coming, so you could watch for that and then BD every day or every other day. As long as you and your DH don't have any problems, doing this should get you pregnant within a year, probable more like 6 months. OPKs are ovulation predictor kits, they will help you to see when you will be ovulating so you can time BDing better. You can also try charting for a few months. Buy yourself a thermometer and take your temp at the same time every morning. After you ovulate, you will notice a spike in your temp that will last until AF comes. Doing this for a few months will help you learn about your cycle and when you ovulate so that you can better time BD. There are websites like fertility friend that will keep track of your charting.
GOod luck!

Hi I am from LIW 2 ~ Welcome! I thought this website was very helpful!
http://www.mymonthlycycles.com/
you can track from the first day of AF ~ and calculate on or around your ovulation day ~ I would BD every other day the week of your ovulation week ~ Before and after! try to take a prenatal vitamin with the extra folic acid... Good Luck!

If you can borrow/buy the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, it will let you know a lot about your cycle that you might not know.
This book helped me know things I never thought of!

This is all great info, also mooshyboo and neener have good advice as well. On the average you will ovualte 14 days into your cycle. with day #1 being the first day of heavy flow of AF. Good Lcuk

Hello Veronica! I remember you from LIW- I was LIBrideinBWI.
I HIGHLY recommend getting a membership to Fertility Friend. It's free, but I purchased a VIP membership because it has a wonderful option where you can talk to charting *experts* as well as access an AWESOME messageboard community.
On FF, they have a "tutorial" that goes over all the nuances of charting your cycles, using OPKs, as well as other methods to get pg.
Good Luck and WELCOME to the crazy world of TTC!
