Kind of personal- what birth control do you use and do you like it?
We have been pregnant or trying to get pregnant our whole marriage so I would love to know what you ladies use. I was going to try a diaphram but I remembered how annoying it was.
Oh, I am 39 so I am a little worried about going back on the pill.
TIA- I know this is a little personal.

I have had Mirena IUD since August 2008. I hated it for the first few months. I spotted for 3 months straight with terrible cramps. I was also really moody. Now I love it. My periods are light and I forget I even have it.

I was using the ring and loved it, I am sensitive to BC and was reluctant to use anything with hormones in it, but gave the ring a try and had no side effects. I plan to go back on it when I stop BF.

Right now I use the pill but after we have #2 (going to TTC end of this year) I think I'm going to get an IUD.

Same here. LOVE the Mirena. I've had it for 3 years now. No problems at all. N0 cramps and only spotted for a month before things got back to normal.

At the moment we PNP.
And I don't really see myself going back on any form of pill even though we don't plan on TTC for another year.
Anyway, once I am done with having children and BFing I plan on investigating the IUD a bit more.

i was on Yasmin for years before conceiving DD, so my OB prescribed it again at my 6 weeks check up. But DH and I just decided that we're going to stick to condoms. After we have another baby in 2-3 yrs, I'll probably get an IUD.

In 3 weeks DH is getting a non scalpel non surgical vasectomy. The procedure takes literally 10 minutes and we are so excited   In all seriousness I found a brilliant Dr here on the Island--If anyone is interested please FM me

I just had DS in December & I got Mirena (IUD) in March. You can take it out whenever you are ready to TTC again or leave it in for the full 5 years. I plan to have mine taken out in 2 years to TTC #2.

we use "pull and pray". Since our sex life has been increasing lately we may go back to condoms.
Due to a thyroid condition, I cannot take the pill and I don't feel comfortable with the IUD yet.
