Kindle Fire
Just got a new Kindle Fire. I love it and my first book is Never Never by Colleen Hoover.
I do hate the ads that come up on the lock screen and am deciding whether to pay the fee or find other ways to get rid of it
My BF added me to his Prime plan a long time ago for the free shipping. But it looks like I need my own paid acct to access everything Prime offers like video.
Can anyone share tips on the best way to access free books especially best sellers?
Any other advice?

I always borrow from the library thru their website, it's really easy but not all authors are available and there is usually a wait list. If you need help let me know...you just need your library card to enter online

I do this too and love it. Your public library's website should have info, but I use Live-Brary through my public library. They ask for the barcode number on your library card and what library is yours, and you're able to take out books electronically.

I go to the library website and there is something called e-books on mine. It takes you to another page and you enter your library and card number. If the book is in stock you can check it out and since it's a kindle device it will take you to your Amazon page automatically and from there you download to your device. I put a bunch on bc most of the new books are on a wait list. You get two weeks to read the book and the send an email when the book is available HTH :)

Re: Kindle Fire
Oh its through your local library - I thought you meant through Amazon
Another question: do you have to actually GO to your library to get a card?

You do need a library card number. For a long time I borrowed my sisters until I got my lazy self to the library. It took 2 mins for them to set me up with a temporary card and a week for it to come in the mail
And yes, it's thru the library but doesn't have to be your local one online, it can be any library that has the e-book link
