Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
I think I have only used mine for baking. Mixing chocolate chip cookies is a breeze now!
Pizza dough is next on my list of things to master.

Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
I make cookies and dough from scratch. If anyone wants to share thier mashed potatoe or any other recipies I would love to see them. I got my dough and cookie recipies from the booklet that came with the kitchenaid mixer.

I have a cake that I make with it. We make Ice Cream (we have the attachment), DH makes fresh OJ (another attach) and we had fun making pasta (yet another attach)

Homemade Marshmallows!
really? how?
So far, I've use mine for mashed potoes, cake batter, butter cream frosting, whipped cream & cookie dough--I've only had it about 3 months.

Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
You need unflavored gelatin, sugar, light corn syrup, salt, vanilla extract (Nielson-Massey); bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil and cook until 240 degrees...remove from heat; add to gelatin (in mixer), mix on high speek for 15 min.
Add vanilla, mix again.
Spread into casserole, baking dish...let sit overnight (I top them with coconut as well).
Cut and serve.
Would you like the full recipe?

Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
I use my mom's which is the larger commerical size one for
foccaccia dough
gingerbread cookies pumpkin muffins ALL kinds of baking
I LOVE the kitchenaiod mixer.
it's funny I ran into my aunt at fortunoff the day we were registering and she said "oh I'll buy you the kitchenaid right now as an engagement gift" and I kind of deflected it just b/dc I know I want the larger one for all the baking I love to do!
There are lots of great attachments you cna get which may make it more useful, like the meat grinder, etc.
The reason we use ours less than I'd like is because it's so large it doesn't fit on the countertop, so we have to lug it out each time
