Kitchen Appliances

Starting the search

DH and I both agreed we like the look of Frigidaire Profesional Series fridge, stove & dishwasher.

Anyone have this set?

Any others you recommend?

I definitely want freezer on bottom, ice & water dispenser & no fingerprints stainless. Counter depth fridge

Pretty sure I have a Frigidaire pro
Series stove. I hate it but it’s like 10 yrs old. Came with the house. I’ll check once I get home

I have Frigidaire pro stove and DW. Had them since 2012. No complaints at all, but I have white. I will say the internal parts of the DW have rotted and needed to be replaced at least twice already and I am already going through this set. They racks definitely are not durable.

Kitchen Appliances

I’d see if you can get your hands on Siemens appliances. All my appliances are from Siemens. They have been really great. You could also try Bosch or Miele (kind of expensive).

Re: Kitchen Appliances

Don't go with one brand for everything, that is such a scam. Get what you can afford, but the best of those categories. Bosch makes a great dishwasher. I prefer LG or Samsung refrigerators. Viking or Mille for ovens.

I get it. I thought I could just get different brands per appliance but between wanting smudge proof and the handles all won’t match, I have a small kitchen and all appliances will literally be right next to each other. I don’t want it to look sloppy.

I have to keep doing my research.

Do you currently have a bottom freezer? Asking because I currently have bottom freezer and really don't love it. I'm constantly playing tetris trying to fit everything in. The counter depth is going to give you even less space.

This is my problem. I have the counter depth fridge with bottom freezer. It is annoying. I now have a separate freezer in my basement for overflow.
Look into Sharp microwave.

Re: Kitchen Appliances

I love my drawer dishwasher. We have a Fisher & Paykel one and it works really well. I swore I wouldn't like the drawers but it works so well for us (I do small loads as needed)

I currently have a tiny basic white top freezer fridge in my kitchen.
We have a deep freezer and another basic top freezer fridge in basement as well.
I had a bottom freezer in my old apartment and i liked it.

I know the counter depth is less space but it’s definiely more space then what i have now. Plus my kitchen is Small.

Make sure you go and look at everything. Smudge proof IMO is BS.
We went to PC Richards to look at a "finger print resistant" stainless fridge we were interested in and it looked like utter shit from all the fingerprints all over it.
As did all the other fridges there.
I ended up with black stainless (which isn't really black at all, more of a grey) and I'm so glad I did. It shows a lot less in that finish.
I'm glad I saw it

I KNOW! There's a new one that's "Easy clean" or something that a sales rep was showing me at one place. I put my hand on it and it left my entire hand print. He said yea, but it cleans easier. Yea - No. I want SMUDGE PROOF. My sister has an easy clean one, and was saying it's really good. I made her take a picture at that exact moment and send it to me - smudges EVERYWHERE. That would drive me INSANE.

I can get obsessed with that type of stuff. The silver faucet in my kitchen is constantly being wiped so it stays shiny. Which is pretty much another reason everything else in my house is Oil Rubbed Bronze. I moved in 7 years ago and changed everything over pretty quickly.

I went to Plesser's yesterday and put my hands on every. single. appliance. LOL. The Frigidaire Pro is legit Smudge proof and magnetic thank god because knowing me, I'll scratch the crap out of it in no time.
What I also like about this line is its not super shiny. It's a Matt stainless look.

While I understand what you are saying, the OP need to be aware that some brands are made by the same companies. So Bosch, Siemens, and Miele are made by the same company.

I like my Siemens appliances and I got them at a discount bc my ex worked for them. That’s why I went with Siemens. Miele is amazing and will last you forever. That brand just hangs on and on. I have all Siemens, and I have a few problems, but it’s been about 5 years, so yeah. I’ve heard excellent things about Miele, but it’s $$$$$$$.

Yea. I’ve realized that a lot of the brands are all made by one company. I forget the exact ones at the moment, but was surprised.

I know Miele is good. But I cannot see spending that kind of $ on an appliance. DH and I have been talking about it and the truth is I don’t need to spend $7k+ on a range for the meatloaf, baked pork chops and chicken cutlets I make every week. If I was more of a big home chef and made crazy meals - maybe? But I can’t justify the cost.

Ahhh I'm so glad to see this!

We are closing in a couple weeks on a house that was built in 1996 and I swear has the original white appliances.. we know we will have to likely replace them sooner than later.

I am in LOVE with the black stainless look (slate whatever they're calling it this week)

I absolutely despise the stainless we have now. Smudeproof my rear end! I have drip marks on the fridge from the water/ice maker and on the dishwasher because of condensation. There are tiny human fingerprints everywhere.

My one concern with the darker stainless is dust. We are in Florida now, and the house we are buying is SUPER light and bright and I know with black appliances it would be highlighted. Still better than smudges and drips all over the place though!

Honestly it looks stunning and is soooo easy to maintain. It really doesn't show dust

Ugh. I wish I would've read this thread before I bought our appliances. All i see is smudges everywhere on the stainless steel. It's killing me.
