Kitchen colors
What color is your kitchen?
I went to look at kitchens yesterday and to figure out what styles I want. I found the cabinet style I want at the countertop as well. However, I cannot decide on the cabinet color I want.
The countertop is black marble effect but made out of laminate. The choice of cabinet colors is black or light gray. I am considering going all black with the cabinets and countertop. Does this sound weird?
The floor is light gray and my kitchen table is solid oak. My fridge is stainless steel, and the cooktop is black and the oven is black and stainless steel. The dishwasher is integrated, so you can’t see it. The sink can be black, but I’m not sure on that one yet.
Do you think all black is too much?

My cabinets are oak, countertops are granite, marble brown and black. My appliances are black, floor porcelain beige, curtains, rugs, chair covers, accessories are black, brown and grey.

Yes, I think an all black kitchen is too much. It’ll make the room look small and the cabinets will show every smudge. I would do the light gray.

Re: Kitchen colors
White cabinets, black stainless appliances (which is like a gunmetal gray color), very light grey walls, light grey flooring.

Re: Kitchen colors
My kitchen is off white, with different gray/beige tones Dark cabinets show every spec of dust. I would go with lighter choice for easy daily upkeep. I also hate to dust so there’s that
ETA: the all black might look pretty sleek though if that’s a look you’re Into

We are currently redoing our kitchen. We’re doing white cabinets with Himalayan White granite countertops.

Medium wood cabinets original to house but solid wood so we kept them for now and white quartz effect countertops. Our floors are dark gray large tiles. When we redo the kitchen we will keep the same colors just different materials.
ETA: Wall color is Benjamin Moore Classic Grey and we looove the color.
All black is way too much. Definitely break it up.

I think all black will look very dark and make the room smaller. Also hard to keep clean. I would go with light grey.
We have off white cabinets, off white countertops with veining and wood floor. We just redid our kitchen and I love it.

All black is too much for sure. I'd do the all grey.

Ha ha we have the same kitchen, except I have white walls.
OP: I say grey. I love black but that’s too much black.

Re: Kitchen colors
I only do white kitchens. I don't think I could do anything else but I have seen some beachy looks that have a modern gray cabinet so I would do that over black any day. I think if you do gray cabinets and the rest black it would look good.

Great minds, Great minds! I hope you do NOT have an LG fridge though- as pretty as it is, omg what a lemon. We just had ours "totaled" at 4 years old after 3 service calls where they failed to fix it. Thank God for the extended warranty we bought but it sucked not having a working fridge most of the summer!

No it’s Samsung, but the verdict is still out on the appliances. Lol
