Loved this show! I can't stand guys like Peter. So much fun to see Gordon put him in his place!

Re: Kitchen Nightmares

From the street it looked like one nice restaurant. Inside it also looked nice, but behind the cooks door it wasn't looking so good. That walk in refrigerator was nasty.

Re: Kitchen Nightmares

Damn. Now I'm sorry I missed it.

Did Ramsay call anyone a donkey? I love it when he does that.

Looks like you can only watch clips of previous shows on the website. Chat Icon

Ewww, right?! DH was watching. He called me over to specifically look at the nasty stuff in the frig and the dripping stuff. He wanted to show me what he sees in restaurant kitchens. I was Chat Icon.

We liked the show. Ramsey turned Peter around and it was nice that Peter changed.

I loved the show - I'd like to know if Peter stayed 'improved' or went back to his old ways?

I wonder if the restaurant will get more business because of the show?

I'm going to say NO... I've been there before and I didn't think it was good at all. And even if they have a revamped menu, I wouldn't go back because of the people there.... and I'm sorry, that was NOT a bill collector... can we say Loan Shark!! Chat Icon

I was really entertained by the whole show... I might tune in again!

I believe that Peter set back the evolution of Italians by a few decades. I thought I was watching a spin off to Growing up Gotti!

Re: Kitchen Nightmares

I liked when Gordon was knocking on his watch and said it was probably fake.

Peter said the only thing fake on him were his teeth. And then Gordon said they go well with his brown (totally fake tan) skin!

Ditto to everything here. DH works for the village and he filled me in on the scoop as we were watching this last night.

Peter used to be 3x the size and had either a stomach by-pass or staple done a few years ago. I heard that once he was found locked in the trunk of his car - I guess he was late on a payment that time too.

I ate there once before and once since. It's no better.

So why would a bill collectors stop by like that?

Also I don't think they're bill collectors-I think they are loan sharks or gambling debts.....

Sorry CoopersMom-I didn't read the whole thread. You already said this

ITA. I never saw him anytime I went there, but I think he used to come into my bar (he looked waaaaaaay too familiar). DH & I even said that is why people off of LI think that we are like thatChat Icon

And there are sooooo many good quality places to go in the village...too much competition IMO. They even showed a few in the openerChat Icon

Any time I was there, I felt there was a real "click". I think there is a certain group that frequent it and probably will continue to, no matter how bad the food or service is.
