Kitchen Recommendation for an Older Child
My DD is 6 but she LOVES playing house, role playing, cooking, etc. Is it silly to buy her new kitchen and dollhouse at the age of 6? Any recommendations of any awesome ones that are out now?
Thanks
Ps. She has a pink retro small kitchen type thing already(forgot the brand) and the Barbie Dreamhouse.

I would look into getting a real wood dollhouse.

Dollhouse def. I played with dolls til 11. Maybe w the kitchen. At 6, I'd have her start to really cook.

I don't see why not. I'll be thrilled if my daughter still wants to play with that stuff at 6, there's such a rush these days for them to grow up! I remember my friend at 6 having a wood kitchen and I loved playing with it. Walmart has some good deals on kidkraft kitchens and dollhouses and free shipping.

When I was little I had a fisher price kitchen and I was probably like 7-8 when I got for Christmas. I was so obsessed with it. It had a chalkboard and a frying pan that sizzled and eggs that cracked open. I think I played w it till I was like 10.

If your doc likes to cook then maybe you could take her to cooking classes. William Sonoma has free cooking classes for kids.
I would make a cooking basket for her with child sized real utensils, some fun cookie cutters, small rolling pin, mixer, bowls, a personalized apron and a kids cook book.
