Re: Labeling Bottle for Daycare

One of the multiple moms had them. I thought they were cute.

I used permanent marker (which wasn't as permanent as I thought, I had to keep rewriting).

babylabels.com. I never had a problem with them even when I boiled the bottles.

We just used a Sharpee... actually the day care told us not to use stick on labels as apparently another child last year tried to eat it.

I used masking tape and a sharpee. It doesn't come off in the dishwasher.

I ordered labels from stuck on you and love them. I have vinyl labels for the bottles that have held up great under washing and heating. I have clothing tattoos for his clothes and bibs which you iron on and they also hold up great.

Thia - check out Lucas' stuff when you pick up today. Seriously - pull out one of his bottles from the fridge to look at the label.

I've used a sharpe but it never stays on and I was sick of rewriting everything. I got mine from itsmineUSA.com and I love them.

This is what I've been using. However, the way that the cap fits over the bottles, I cannot put any type of tape on it and I don't want to write on the bottles. (The cap covers the whole bottle)

Here are the bottles I'm using--

Can you put the labels on the bottom of the bottles and on the caps? Or is that what you have been doing? Maybe those bands would be the best thing then since they come off and on.

I put a label on the cap with his name and the date I expressed the BM. But once you take the cap off, the bottle isn't labeled. No one at daycare has those bottles, so they know they're mine. But you never know. Someone else could come along that is using them. I've been writing his name and taping it to the bottom of the bottle. I'm just so sick of that sharpie right now.

If those are the only bands out there, I'll give them a try. If they don't work, it won't be the first time I wasted money on a baby product.

I ordered labels from MabelsLabels.com. They are dishwasher safe. I put them on the cap, the ring and the bottle. I use Playtex drop-ins. I ordered the "minis" for the bottles. They are perfect size for small items.

I just ordered little round labels that have Lucas' name on them...maybe that would work for the bottom of the bottles?

We had to label everything...bottles and caps since they were getting lost. I hear ya on the wasting money - seems like that was all we have done in the search to find the right things. Chat Icon
