Labor Music
I am making a CD with some songs I love forexample: DH and I wedding song, lifehouse, five for fighting etc..
Is anyone else doing this?
If so are you going with just soothing sounds?
I thought the playlist I was putting together would be nice to listen to before I push because by that time I probably could care less whats on

Re: Labor Music
We made a playlist for our IPOD with a mix of classical music, soothing sounds from various genres, our wedding song... it was peaceful and enjoyable when I was in labor- Our doctor and nurse even commented on what a good selection we had... I found it useful

How did you listen to your IPOD while in labor? Can you explain? Sorry I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff.

WE're using the ipod too. I have one of those docking stations that have the speakers so you can play it just like the radio.

Having my Ipod with me was one of the smartest moves during my labor. My water broke in the middle of the night after I sent DH home to sleep (I was induced) and I listened to my Ipod during 7 hours of contractions (I couldn't get an epidural until the morning). It calmed me down and gave me something to focus on other than the pain. I listened on my headphones.

We have a portable speaker so we just hooked it up to that
