Ladies, I need your help!!!!! Please give me your opinions.
I don't know if any of you remember, but, I had HUGE insurance problems to get in to see ANY doctor. Finally, I found a great OBGYN - recommended to me by a friend - who was GREAT!
Took me in even when no one else would - when I couldn't prove I had insurance! Very attentive and nice to me. So.. clearly he is great. He took the needed tests and listened to heartbeat and scheduled sono. (Lets call him dr. A)
Dilema. Dr. A only takes my insurance - which means i have to pay 20% of everything.. sono, blood work, medicine and much more!
DH has insurance (which just activated) that I am under, and based on his insurance we were recommended to a good dr. (by Drs' recommendations). I am going there on Monday to see what he is like. But, this insurance, covers 100% of EVERYTHING.. no copay, no pay for medicine, no bloodwork pay no hospital pay.. 100%
Dr. B is also considered one of the very good OBGYN. Also, he delivers in the best hospital for prenatal care - if something God forbid goes wrong.
what should I do? I really like Dr. A but the bill could be upto $2000 with everything! while the other, better hospital and good dr. FREE 
I really appreciate your help!!!!

Go with Dr. B...especiallly if he is a good doctor and takes your insurance which will cover 100% of the costs...this one is no brainer...why would you want to spend extra $$? Put that money towards your nursery or other baby related things.

Go with what's covered. The bill could easily be more than $2,000. That could be the hospital costs alone

I would lean towards Dr B bc its no out of pocket $ for you. The only way I would go to Dr A is if you are really unhappy with Dr B's bedside manner!

I agree. You have to feel comfortable with your Dr. If you like Dr. B then I would go with him but if not then in the end you might be unhappy and you should stick with Dr. A.

Most insurances will let you stay with a current Dr, especially in pregnancy. I would suggest you call your husbands ins co. and ask them if they offer continuation of a current Dr

DH's insurance is an HMO - so pretty much no. It must be in their health system. Everything. Which in this case, in Miami, is a very good health system.

i would go with dr. B, since he has a good reputation and your husband's insurance covers it.
honestly, you never know what can go wrong with your pregnancy. i was doing just fine until i randomly started having contractions last week, which landed me in the hospital twice. i would never be able to afford those necessary hospital visits if my insurance didn't cover it.
even though you have no reason to believe that anything will go wrong, you really never know... i would take the greater insurance coverage...

As much as I LOVE my Drs, there is no way I would pay for as much out of pocket as you will have to pay with Dr. A. IMO, I would go with Dr. B especially since he also has come highly reccommended to you.

I think I would have a consult with Dr. B. to see what I think and then decide. I bet Dr. A will understand if you switch, since they deal with insurance companies and would realize how tough it could be for you if you have to pay a lot out of pocket.
You never realize how expensive these medical bills are until you have to foot the bill.

You made our decision so much easier!
I will go to Dr. B Monday, and unless he 'repulses' me (which I doubt) will go to him from now on.

If it were me i would go with "B", but i suppose it could depend on your financial situation.
