Ladies nearing the end: The Asian Elephant?
Today's daily advice from the pregnancy section of Fertility Friend:
"If you're feeling like your pregnancy is dragging on forever, imagine how the Asian elephant feels. The Asian elephant carries a baby for twenty to twenty-three months! You wouldn't even be halfway there yet if you were an Asian elephant (even though you might be starting to feel like one!) You don't have much longer to go! Continue to take care of yourself, enjoy a healthy lifestyle and rest whenever you can. You're almost there."
I am supposed to have empathy for a friggin elephant?
I want to beat the person who wrote this to an unrecognizable pulp. Who is with me????

I love this....take care of yourself even though you feel like an elephant Exact advice an pregnant woman probably wants to hear especially being compared to an elephant!

eff that! i have no sympathy for an elephant that gets herself knocked up knowing that she will have to carry her calf for that long. she should know better. wh0re.
on a side note, based on the punches he is administering to my bladder this evening, i think Baby C has plans on becoming a kangaroo when he grows up.

And you would think since an Elephant never forgets, she'd only allow herself to get knocked up once!

They eat 10% of their body weight daily which is 650-1100 pounds of gluttony for them. NO MERCY ON THE PACHYDERM. Where is Richard Simmons?
