ladies need your help again- birth announcment/photoshop help
ladies i took your suggestion of using winkflash for my announcements and i go them today and colors are completely off. i have 3 pictures on the announcement and all the pictures are so dark. my son is not dark skinned and all the pictures make him look like he is. i cannot send them out like that and wondering if there is another site i can use to upload photoshop files for announcements besides winkflash. TIA

Walgreens has a surprisingly nice selection online and you can have them printed to a local store - if they look funny when you pick them up you can just reject them.
I have never ordered from Winkflash but had a similar problem with Shutterfly and have never ordered from them since.
Always had good luck with prints from Kodak gallery but never ordered cards/anouncements so not sure if that makes a diff.
I am crazy detailed about stuff like this too...I would def take it up with Winkflash and request a refund when you have a chance...

You should also make sure that whatever pictures you are using, they are in CMYK and not RGB. You are printing (not viewing on screen), so they need to be in correct mode. If you think the photos themselves are too dark, you can lighten them up slightly in Photoshop using Curves.
Whenever I make announcements I usually use VistaPrint and have always been happy with their quality. Just download their template and create away. Plus, they always have great deals - I got 100 moving announcements for $50 which included shipping and having our return address printed on the envelopes.

I'm so shocked that so many people are having difficulty with winkflash. I never have any problems.

You should return them to winkflash & ask them to reprint.
If you want me to take a look at them, email me.
You didn't select any autocorrect options, did you? I learned the hard way when I completely screwed up the color on Maddie's birthday invites by leaving the default option on Costco's site.

I know right, what I'm wondering is how can winkflash send them out to people looking that way? I mean don't they see how bad they look, and would want to do it over to make the customer happy....

We ended up doing ours at Costco and they came out great. It was very affordable and easy too. You can upload them online to their website and have them shipped if you want.

I have also had problems with winkflash. I did my holiday cards through Costco and they came out great!
