Ladies that are on Synthroid

When do you take it? I know it says in the morning but it also says to not take it with calcium or iron and since I take my pre-natal in the am, I have been waiting to take the synthroid at night.

Do you take the prenatals and the synthroid at the same time?

I had the same problem. I take the synthroid in the morning with nothing else. I take prenatal, baby asa etc. at night. HTH

I'm on levothyroxine, but its the same as synthroid. The one thing I have been told by the nurse at the RE's office and by the endocrinologist is do not take with vitamins, take in the am and half hour to hour before food. I take it right when I wake and take my pre-natals at lunch time. Vitamins will interfere with your body absorbing and properly processing the tsh (thyroid stimulating hormone) HTH

I am on levothyroxine too, asa, folilc acid & prenatal vitamins. I have never had a problem & take them all at night. I tried to do it during the day but use to forget & my Dr said it was OK to do everything at night, I have been doing this for yrs I even did it during my 1st pgncy. I wish I could take the pre-natal vitamin in the am but I get nauseous so I take it in the pm.

Thanks ladies! I am actually on levothyroxine too. Does it have to be taken in the morning? I usually take my baby aspirin, folgard and prenatal in the morning, my supplements (pycnogenol and resveratrol) in the afternoon and my levothyroxine right before I go to bed. I thought it was ok to do that but lately I really don't feel like the levothyroxine is working (I've only been taking it a month). I am still tired, gaining weight and my hair is still coming out. I thought maybe taking it in the morning would jumpstart it.

The prenatals make me sick, so I take them before bed. I take the synthroid first thing in the AM when I wake up, and wait a half hour before I eat anything.

I take synthroid and baby aspirin in the morning and prenatal and extra vitamins at night.

I separate everything.
Synthroid I always take in the morning, first thing and then wait an hour before eating. Baby aspirin is around 11:30 A.M, and then prenatals I take before bed.

I take all my meds in the am before work since I eat at work. I take the following: levothroxine 88mg, prilosec, lozor, folic acid, vit D, prenatal, and calcium citrate. I have never had a problem and nobody has every said anything. HTH!

The nurse at the RE said to take it in the AM before I eat. And then I take the pre-natals before bed.

I would just call the Dr and ask.

I take Synthroid in the morning along with allergy meds and Folace. I take all my viatamins at night. The synthroid won't absorb properly if you take it with any type of vitamin.

I also take the levothyroxine in the morning and pre-natals before bed.

It says right on the label to take 1hr before eating. I usually take it right after I brush my teeth. By the time I shower and get myself together, its about an hour.

I used to take my pre-natals in the morning and it did mess me up to have to switch that around. And i do forget the pre-natals sometimes. Though right now I am not taking anything but the thyroid meds. At least I do not forget the thyroid meds, which to me is the most important.
