Ladies who delivered at North Shore Manhasset. Quick question
Just wondering what you needed to bring with you - or what you definitely recommend bringing - to the hospital for L&D and Post-Partum. I'm trying to get my bag ready and this is what I have so far:
Toiletries - for me and DH Breast pads & cream Nursing bra Pads Slippers/Robe Receiving blankets (have dogs at home) Coming home outfit for me (and DS) PJs Underwear Fresh shirt for DH Camera iPod with dock (wireless) Contact list
Chapstick Preggie Pops
Diaper bag (w/ diapers, vaseline, wipes, alcohol swabs)
Any recommendations for my bag or diaper bag???? TIA!!!

I don't think you need the diaper bag as they provide all of those items for you. I also recommend bringing your own towels. The ones they give you are so small. I was so happy that I had my own.
Make sure to take all the diapers and bottles of formula whenever they bring the baby to you. You can keep asking for more.
Good luck!!! I had a great experience there.

I delivered there on 11/24 - I didn't spend any time in L&D so I can't help you there but for post partum, bring towels - face and shower towels, and also your own pillow. Also flip flops for the shower. I brought my own pads but just used the ones they gave me...definitely bring granny panties.
They have Wifi so if you want to bring a laptop you'll be able to get online.
You do NOT need a diaper bag. They will give you everything you need and then some. Bring an extra bag though for all the stuff they will send you home with. I had DH empty out the bassinet thing (diapers, vaseline, formula) every night and bring it all home. Even if you are EBF take the formula just in case! When we were discharged they filled up a huge bag also. Good luck!
