Ladies who have the FP Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

I went to Babies R' Us last night to see the swing and from their display it doesn't seem very sturdy and that it's not made too well? Chat Icon Please tell me that I'm wrong? A lot of you have said how great it is so I'm just asking from your experience. I really want to get it. Thanks!

I thought the contrary. I'm amazed at how well designed it is. And very well balanced with the leg design. Maybe their model is not assembled well?

ETA we've used it everyday for several hours a day for over 6 mos now and it's holding up fine.

I LOVED this swing. Its very sturdy, and honestly for a long time was the only thing my son would sleep in. I can not rave enough about this swing!!!

Re: Ladies who have the FP Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

I'm glad to hear this! Maybe it is the way they have their display put together. Sometimes they don't put much effort into it. Walmart sells it online (I haven't seen it in the store) for $114 instead of Babies R' Us price of $140. You have to pay for shipping, but it's still cheaper.

Thanks again! Chat Icon

We have this swing and LOVE it - especially the way it swings back and forth and from side to side. The swing is sturdy, but I have found that if the legs are not spread ALL the way apart, then it is a bit rocky. Maybe the one in the store wasn't positioned right?

Re: Ladies who have the FP Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

No... the one in the store was so wobbly and squeaky. Even the seat that's hanging was so loose and wobbly.

Do you think it's too late to buy it? Meaning that he's too old for it already?

Connor is 12 weeks old and BIG. I'm just not sure how long I would get to use it? Thanks again ladies!

We loved this swing too! It always calmed him down.

I think the weight limit is 25 pounds (but I think that would really strain the batteries). My son is still not 25 pounds but we don't use it anymore because he won't sit still long enough, but otherwise I definitely would.

THis swing was a godsent!!! We loved it. IT was probably how BRU assembled it badly. I used it until Nicholas was 4 months old. He slept in it every night instead of the bassinet

Thats a shame cause other people are going to think the same thing

Re: Ladies who have the FP Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

The only issues I have are:
If you put the setting too high one of the legs lifts off the ground a bit. But I only put it on the lowest setting and it doesn't do it on the first setting. Liam only started using the swing last month so he's happy with the first setting.

Also, and maybe this is b/c my DH didn't tighten the screw enough (he said he did?) the part that the baby lays on seems to move if you tip it over a bit, not alot but I only noticed this the other day and like I said it could be that DH didn't tighten it. Liam never liked the swing until November so I never really noticed before.

If I had to do it again I would get the Fisher Price Aquarium Swing instead.

That's a good question. I'm not sure I'd buy it at 12 weeks old. We do still use it but if the baby is already 3 mos and hasn't been using it, I'm not sure if he'll really get used it at that point.

check that your legs are fully out - ours used to lift up a little and we realized the legs weren't fully extended!

as for the other thing, ours doesn't do that!

i love the swing - samantha does too...i sometimes wish it had a light (the aquarium one does) but the tradeoff mirror instead is something samantha enjoys too!

Re: Ladies who have the FP Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

Well, Connor has been using a swing all along, just not that swing. He's been using the one I got for Caiden. Caiden hardly ever used it because he didn't seem to like it. The one I have is just too small for him. It's the Graco Open Top 6 speed swing. It's a great swing, it's just that my kids are just too big for it almost since the beginning. I needed a swing that is round/wider.
