Ladies who took Provera and Clomid.
Hi Ladies. I don't post on this board very often, but I have a quick question regarding Provera and Clomid.
I have PCOS and I'm starting my first round of Provera/Clomid this month. My doctor prescribed Provera that I will take for 5 days, then Clomid to take for another five. My doctor told me to take the Clomid on days 5-9. Does this mean that I should start taking the Clomid immediately after the Provera, or do I start taking it on day 5 of AF?

Hi Maria!
I was put on provera and on CD5 was told to start Clomid. So wait until AF shows up before starting Clomid.
I was started on 50 mg and this was my result

Ok, that's what I thought - Thanks! I'll wait for AF and start Clomid on CD5.
My doctor is starting me on 50mg, too. How many rounds did it take you to get a BFP?
So exciting! 
How far along are you now??

hello
i didnt take provera but i took clomid
i got pregnant on 50mg of clomid the first month and had my DS
now we are ttc #2 and i did 2 rounds at 50mg and now this cycle i took 100mg
i am on cd17 and waiting to "O", every other month I ovulated on CD20 so should be any day now
good luck

How far along are you now??
Just 1 round of each for me. I was shocked it worked so fast lol
i'm 26 weeks and already getting VERY uncomfortable

Is your doctor monitoring you?
It's important to get the initial sono before starting clomid to make sure there are no cysts. Clomid causes them to grow and they can possibly rupture.
I took provera for 10 days....you're doctor said only 5?

Yes, he is. I had a sono at my last appointment and I'm A-OK to start Clomid!
Yeah, he only prescribed 5, 50mg pills.

i have pcos too and my first cycle of clomid 50mg was a bust, i didnt even O. i am changing meds as soon as i get my provera AF (hopefully by tomorrow or wednesday).
hope clomid works for you!!
what are your other symptoms of pcos?

what are your other symptoms of pcos?
I guess it works differently for everyone. Did your doc up your dosage? My doctor started me at 50mg and if it doesn't work, he will increase it to 100mg next cycle and keep going up from there. If the 200mg doesn't work, he is going to put me on Metformin.
My periods are absent, which caused me to be on the pill for almost 10 years to regulate things. Once I came off of the pill in April, I had immediate weight gain, acne, thinning hair, etc. It's just not the best feeling, especially coming off the pill where everything seemed to be 'normal'.

I started taking the metformin before clomid. then i got preg with DS with the 50mg
now i have been taking the metformin and i did 50mg of clomid for 2 months and now 100mg
he said i can do 3 cycles at 100mg and then increase after that
