Ladies with SUVs with third row..especially if you have 2 kids or more

Which row do you put the car seats in? If you have them in 2nd row can you even access the third row?

We are considering the Enclave, Acadia, Pilot and Pathfinder. Enclave and Acadia have the 2 captains chairs in the middle for easy access to third but the others don't if you use the 2nd row for carseats.

We have the Pilot and I absolutely love it. We have the car seats in the second row but my daughter is in a booster seat. So we just pop that out when we need to use the third row and we either put her in the middle spot or in the third row. The 2nd row does slide forward so that people in the back have more leg room when you need to use it. I guess what you need to figure out is how often are you going to use the third row?

I have the Enclave with the 2nd row Captains chairs. We often use our 3rd row and I did not want to have to move car seats each time. so the 3rd row is always accessible through the center.

The Enclave also comes with an 8-passenger option (2nd row bench seat), but that would be best if you didn't have a car seat on each side.

For me, having the 3rd row usable was a must, so I only wanted Captains chairs for second row.

I have the 2010 Honda Pilot. I only have one car seat in the middle of the second row but I have put two car seats in when my friend and I go somewhere together. Then we put the second behind the driver and can access the third row by moving the seat in the second row behind the passenger. I love this car!!!!

we have a pacifica. we usually keep the 3rd row folded down for more trunk space. DS is in the captains chairs behind the passenger seat.

we have the MDX, 2 carseats in the 2nd row and no, we can not get to the pointless 3rd row!! right now DS2 si in the snugride, but once he is in the britax it will be so annoying to move that seat.

now DH wants a minivan

we test drove the highlander, adn that one you can remove the middle seat in the second row to get to the 3rd row

We have 3 rows and did not opt for captains chairs---right now I have both kids in the 2nd row and can not access the 3rd row with the car seats installed. Sometimes I regret not getting captains chairs, but I think the way we have it works for us. Right now I rarely use the 3rd row except when our lab travels with us. I also like the option of being able to sit in the 2nd row with the boys in case one of them needs me. We take a lot of long car trips, so this is necessary for me. Some day when they are bigger and both forward facing, I will probably put their seats next to each other so I can access the third row, but for now its fine.

We have an Acadia. We have the captains chairs in the 2nd row and my kids are in those seats so we have the 3rd row open to what we need it for...

i hv a highlander-2003 no 3rd row- with 3 kids we cant do it any more, so we got a used minivan yeseterday & picking it up today! i cant wait!!! im keeping the highlander b/c im not ready to be a F/T minivan mom. but im so relieved that we are goign to have the space- traveling anywhere with my kids is horrendous!
