Ladies...I need advice about border on my nursery walls
I rent, don't own so don't want to spend the money at this point doing the crown molding. I like the idea of two colors. I am doing pink and sage for our little girl.
Here is my question...I see samples of rooms with the crown molding and it looks like people do the painting of two colors on a 70%-30% ratio. So anotherwords, the molding is smack in the center with the top part of the wall being 70% one color, 30% the other.
What about for border. Do you do the same, 70/30 or should border be dead center between two colors at 50-50%?
Thanks

Do you mean putting a chair rail on the wall? If so, I think a chair rail is usually placed 3 feet up from the floor, so the top area would be larger than the bottom.

Re: Ladies...I need advice about border on my nursery walls
I hung mine differently... and yes, I hung it.. 30 something weeks pg with twins ... I didn't want it hidden by the furniture so I used the tallest piece of furniture (the top of the back of the sleigh cribs) as a guide and hung it about an inch above that.
Just becareful. Some walls in some houses are not completely level. I measured and snapped a chalk line around the room but as I put it up I had to tweak it. Because the wall was not perfectly plumb, I think the border is 1/4 higher on one side than the other. You have to work fast before the glue dries.
Here are some pics right after it was done. Image Attachment(s):

We had a wallpaper border at about that height, and DS ruined it! Do your DC pick at it?

No. They usually stand in their cribs facing each other, talking and DS will turn on DD's rainforest.
They have each other to "pick at"

I have mine a little bit higher then midway up the wall. DD isnt old enough to pick it at yet so that obviously hasnt been a problem. I like the way it looks.
